Jharkhand Weather: Several districts in Jharkhand, including Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, and Jamtara, may experience partly cloudy skies for the next two to three days. Thunderstorms and rain are expected on March 27 and 28. The Ranchi Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert regarding this. Cloudy skies are also expected on March 29.
According to the weather body, the weather will continue to change this week due to three consecutive western disturbances. Currently, a western disturbance is active in the form of a cyclonic circulation in and around Jammu. Two more western disturbances will affect the weather on March 26 and 28.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is active over Assam and surrounding areas. These weather systems are expected to bring cloudy weather and occasional thunderstorms throughout March.
Due to the western disturbance, which will become active from March 26, thunder and lightning are likely to occur across Dhanbad and other districts. There is also a risk of lightning strikes. Winds of up to 30-40 km per hour are also possible.
Hailstorms are also likely during this time period. After this, a western disturbance, which will become active on the night of March 28, could bring another change in the weather.
Rain Likely In Bengal, Bihar
The weather department has asserted that the western disturbance will lead to rainfall in several regions of Bengal and Sikkim till March 27. It further stated that the nearby states, including Bihar, Odisha, are also set to witness rain and thunderstorms from March 25 onwards.
It further stated that these regions are also likely to receive strong surface winds at the speed of 70 kmph between March 24 and 27. Apart from this, the IMD also stated that hailstorms are also likely in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on March 24.
