Jharkhand Weather Update: Jharkhand Weather Update: As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi, partly cloudy sky accompanied by rain or thunderstorms is likely in multiple areas of Jharkhand on Friday. Rain lashed Ranchi and surrounding areas on Thursday, bringing much needed respite from heat for the people. On Thursday, Ranchi and the surrounding districts remain partially cloudy throughout the day.

Jharkhand Heatweave Warning

In the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, Ranchi, it has been told that on May 16, the effect of heatwave will be seen in the north-eastern part of the state which include Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, Jamtara, Sahibganj, Dhanbad, Giridih as well as the southern parts which include East and West Singhbhum, Simdega and Saraikela Kharsawan. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this.

Rain In Northwestern Part Of Jharkhand

Also, on May 16 and 17, there is a possibility of strong wind blowing at the speed of 30 to 40 kmph along with thunder in the remaining parts of the northwestern part of the state i.e. Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar and Lohardaga, a yellow alert has been issued for the same.

An alert has also been issued regarding lightning in these districts. At the same time, the capital Ranchi and surrounding areas will remain partly cloudy till May 19 and there is a possibility of rain with thunder.

Weather Will Change From May 18

Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that there is no possibility of major change in the maximum temperature in the state for the next two days, May 16 and 17. After this, the temperature may drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius for the next three days May 18, 19 and 20, after which there is a possibility of relief from the heat.

Lightning In Many Places In Last 24 Hours

In Jharkhand, light to moderate rainfall occurred along with thunder and lightning at some places in the state during the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 44.4 mm was recorded in Hatgamharia of West Singhbhum.

The highest maximum temperature of 42.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Daltonganj and the lowest minimum temperature of 24.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Khunti. The maximum temperature of the capital Ranchi was 37.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 26.4 degrees Celsius.
