Jharkhand Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several districts of Jharkhand are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that the rainfall is likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat. It further stated that these districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms along with gusty winds for the next few days. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that heavy rainfall is expected in several districts, including Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, and Sahebganj. Apart from rainfall, these districts are also expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds with speeds of 60 to 80 kmph. It further stated that the northeastern part of the state is likely to receive rainfall on June 24.
The weather department further stated that while Ranchi's maximum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature remained around 22.1 degrees Celsius. The IMD further stated that the maximum temperature dropped by 5.9 degrees Celsius, adding that the minimum temperature reduced by 1.1 degrees Celsius.
The weather department stated that the capital city is also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall on June 21 and 22. Apart from this, the IMD also stated that the rainfall is also likely to lead to other issues such as waterlogging and power outages.
Apart from this, the IMD stated that several other states, including Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall for the next three to four days. The southern states are also expected to continue receiving moderate to heavy rainfall till June 26.
