Gorakhpur Link Expressway: The commuters planning to travel via the newly inaugurated Gorakhpur Link Expressway will get a 10-day relief from paying toll taxes on the 90-km stretch connecting the Purvanchal Expressway.
The start of toll collection on the expressway will start from July 1. The toll plazas have been built at Bhagwanpur and Salarpur. Its maximum speed limit has been fixed at 80 kmph. However, drivers are constantly being told that this is the maximum speed, drive at a lower speed for safe travel.
Those who violate the speed limit will also be fined. An Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS), including CCTV cameras, speed monitors, and automated number plate recognition technologies, will be installed on the expressway.
The Link Expressway has been built with strength and for a comfortable journey. The riding quality and riding comfort have been tested using the technology and equipment of Switzerland's ETH University.

Speed limit for various vehicles
-Car - 120 kmph
-Passenger vehicles with nine or more seats - 100 km per hour
-Goods vehicles - 80 kmph
-Bike - 80 kmph
Bikes are generally not allowed on expressways due on the Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, and now the Link Expressway, they have been permitted.

The Gorakhpur Link Expressway was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Friday. He also announced that the Ganga Expressway will also be inaugurated by th end of the year. The expressway is a major boost to regional connectivity as the 91-kilometer-long expressway will massively benefit the residents of Gorakhpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Azamgarh. It is constructed at a cost of Rs 7283.28 crore.
