The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has anticipated heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of  Jharkhand due to a low-pressure area building in the Bay of Bengal. The shower is expected from May 28 and will last for 3 days until May 30. 

Jharkhand Weather Today: IMD Places Khunti, Western Singhbhum, 5 Other Districts Under Yellow Alert

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in some parts of Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, Western Singhbhum, Eastern Singhbhum, Saraikela-Kharsawan, and Ranchi on May 28. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in isolated areas. The intensity of rain is expected to range between 64.4 and 115.5 mm.

Hazaribagh recorded the highest rainfall of 65 mm in the last 24 hours.

The maximum temperature in all districts of Jharkhand remains below the mark of 40 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, Godda recorded the highest temperature at 37.2°C, while the capital city, Ranchi, experienced a maximum temperature of 31.2°C, which is 5.5°C below normal.
