Bomb Threat In Colleges: Following bomb threats IN DU's Ramjas College and Deshbandhu College on Wednesday after both institutions received bomb threats via email, triggering a rapid response from the Delhi Police and the Bomb Disposal Team there has been heightened security. Officers have been carring out extensive searches across both campuses, although police have not recovered any suspicious items so far.
In light of these developments, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has urged everyone to exercise increased caution. According to Jagran.com, the advisory highlights the need for special attention in areas with fewer people and heavy traffic. The university has stressed that any suspicious individuals, activities, unattended bags, vehicles, or objects should be immediately reported to campus security.
The advisory also states that entry to hostels and residential blocks will be strictly prohibited. All students and staff must present a valid JNU ID to gain entry to the campus.
Security checks have been intensified, and the university has also appealed to the community to refrain from spreading rumors on social media. For emergency situations, the university has provided two contact numbers for immediate assistance.
