Some offensive slogans were discovered on the walls and floor of the School of Language Literature at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi on Sunday morning. The slogans included threats such as ‘Bhagwa Jalega’ (saffron will burn) and ‘Teri Kabar Khudegi’ (your grave will be dug).
Several other slogans were also graffitied on the walls in support of the separatists such as ‘Free Kashmir’ and ‘India Occupied Kashmir’ while the floors were painted with derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a specific caste.
Some pictures of the slogans from the JNU campus showed that the offensive slogans were written in blue colour on the walls and floor of the School of Language Literature’s campus. The university administration has removed the slogans and initiated an investigation to identify the culprits.

This is not the first time that such slogans have appeared in JNU. A few months ago, similar slogans were seen on the campus, which provoked outrage among the students. The JNU administration has not issued any official statement on the issue yet.
