Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Train: Good news for passengers as the Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express is set to be expanded to 20 coaches. Confirming the development, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday announced major railway upgrades and new train services for Rajasthan, including the expansion of the Vande Bharat train operating between Jodhpur and New Delhi.

Speaking during the inaugural run of the 20-coach Vande Bharat Express between Jodhpur and Delhi Cantt, Vaishnaw said the Vande Bharat service on the route would be upgraded from an 8-coach rake to a 20-coach train due to strong passenger demand.

"The Vande Bharat train from Jodhpur to Delhi is being upgraded from 8 coaches to a 20-coach train. Vande Bharat is a very popular train," Vaishnaw said.

Along with this, the Railway Minister also announced a new rail service connecting Jaisalmer and Ahmedabad, besides infrastructure expansion at key railway hubs across western Rajasthan.

Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express Schedule

The existing 8-coach Vande Bharat Express on the Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt route currently offers only 572 seats, often leading to long waiting lists and limited ticket availability. Railway officials said the introduction of the 20-coach train is expected to significantly ease passenger pressure on the route.

The train operates six days a week. It departs from Jodhpur at 5:30 am and reaches Delhi Cantt at 1:30 pm. The return service leaves Delhi Cantt at 3:10 pm and arrives in Jodhpur at 11:20 pm.

Railway officials believe the move will greatly benefit passengers from western Rajasthan amid rising travel demand.

- Degana Junction (DNA): 07:06 am | 2-minute halt

- Makrana Junction (MKN): 07:37 am | 2-minute halt

- Jaipur Junction (JP): 09:20 am | 5-minute halt

- Gandhinagar Jaipur (GADJ): 09:34 am | 2-minute halt

- Rewari Junction (RE): 12:13 pm | 2-minute halt

- Gurgaon (GGN): 12:55 pm | 2-minute halt

- Delhi Cantt (DEC): Arrives at 01:30 pm
