K Kavitha, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader and daughter of former CM KCR, walked out of jail Tuesday evening, hours after the Supreme Court granted her conditional bail in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case, being probed by the central agencies ED and CBI. Her brother and BRS working president KT Rama Rao was present outside the prison complex with a large number of party supporters.

While BRS supporters played the drums and burst crackers to celebrate the release of Kavitha, the Telangana politician took a hit at the ruling BJP in her first comment after coming out of prison.

"We are fighters, we will fight it out legally and politically. They have only made the BRS and KCR's team unbreakable," Kavitha said.

Granting interim relief to K Kavitha in the Delhi Excise Policy case, the apex court earlier today said that there was no need to keep her in custody as both central agencies CBI and ED have completed their probe against her.

The appellant (Kavitha) is directed to be released forthwith on bail ... on furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs 10 lakh in each of the cases," the bench ordered. The top court allowed her appeal against a July 1 order of the Delhi High Court, which had denied her bail in two cases.

Supreme Court also blasted both the central agencies during the hearing. It questioned the "fairness" of their investigation and termed it "Sorry to see this state of affairs".

"The prosecution has to be fair. You can't pick and choose anyone. What is this fairness? A person who incriminates himself has been made a witness," the bench said.

"Tomorrow you will pick up anyone as you choose and leave anyone as you choose as an accused? Very fair and reasonable discretion!," it added.
