RG Kar Rape Murder:  The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is set to conduct the polygraph test of an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) rank police officer of Kolkata Police in connection with an ongoing investigation into the brutal rape and murder of a woman doctor at the government-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The officer, identified as Anup Dutta, is said to be an associate of prime accused Sanjoy Roy.

Earlier, the agency had summoned Dutta for questioning into the case, which triggered massive nationwide doctors' protest. A video of Dutta sprinting to the CBI Special Crime Branch office in Kolkata to avoid the media questions also surfaced on social media a few days ago. Reporters were heard asking him about his connection with Dutta in the videos.

This comes as the central probe agency completed the polygraph test of Sandip Ghosh, the 'controversial' former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Earlier in the day, CBI moved a Kolkata court to obtain permission to perform a lie detector of ASI Dutta. The court has allowed the request.
