K Kavitha CBI News:  A Delhi court on Friday allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to question and document the statements of jailed Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy scam. The central probe agency has moved a plea in the court asking for permission to interrogate her. Currently, Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, is lodged in the Tihar jail, following her arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) last month.

K Kavitha was arrested on March 15 from her residence in Hyderabad after an ED questioning. She was the third high-profile arrest in the case in which senior Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were also put behind bars by the probe agency.

The Enforcement Directorate accuses Kavitha of being part of the 'South Group,' allegedly involved in paying ₹100 crore in kickbacks to AAP leaders for securing nine retail zones under the defunct policy. Other implicated individuals include Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, his son Raghav Magunta, Aurobindo Group promoter Sarath Reddy, and Delhi-based businessman Sameer Mahendru.
