The Supreme Court has directed the Karnataka government to complete ward delimitation and issue final notifications by November 1, 2025. Following this, the State Election Commission (SEC) will require 60 to 90 days to finalise voter lists.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) continues to manage city governance and administration without a council, which has been absent since its term ended in September 2020, until the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is fully established.
