Karnataka Rape Murder:  While nationwide outrage and anger continue over Kolkata's RG Kar case, another shocking incident of rape and murder surfaced in Karnataka's Bidar, where a 19-year-old woman was allegedly sexually brutalised and later killed by three men. The woman was reported missing on August 29 and later on September 1, her body was found in bushes near a government primary school in Bidar's Gunatheerthawadi, an India Today report stated.

The police had initially considered it only a murder and registered the crime under those sections, however, later based on further investigation and the statements of the accused, it was reclassified as a rape and murder case.
