Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that along with heavy rainfall, the coastal regions are also expected to witness gusty winds and thunderstorms. It stated that the continuous rainfall will lead to waterlogging and power outages in several cities. The residents of Bengaluru are also set to witness cloudy skies and gentle breezes for the next few days. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Ballari, Raichur, Vijayapura, Bagalkote, and Yadgir, are likely to witness rain for the next few days. The continuous rainfall is likely to cause waterlogging in several cities, leading to inconveniences to the commuters. The weather department also stated that the temperature in these districts is likely to drop by two to three degrees Celsius in the upcoming days.

The IMD further stated that while the capital city Bengaluru is not likely to witness rainfall for the next few days, the cloudy weather will persist. The residents of the capital city of Karnataka are also likely to witness light breezes for the next few days. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 30 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 19 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has advised the residents to maintain a distance from the coastal regions, further suggesting the fishermen limit their financial activities for the next few days. Earlier on Saturday, the IMD stated that several western and southern states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Telangana, are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next days.
