Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Karnataka, including the capital city Bengaluru, are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next four days. The weather department stated that along with heavy rainfall, the coastal regions are expected to receive thunderstorms and gusty winds. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several cities. The weather department also advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are likely to witness heavy rainfall for the next few days. It stated that several districts, including Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Mysore, Mandya, and Kolar, are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. Apart from this, Dharwad, Gadag, and Haveri are likely to witness moderate rainfall for the next few days.
The IMD stated that the capital city, Bengaluru, is likely to experience light rainfall, along with a gentle breeze. The residents of the tech city are set to witness cloudy skies for most of the days. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 19 degrees Celsius.
The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in several key areas, leading to traffic congestion in these regions. The weather department has also advised the fishermen to follow the guidelines and maintain a distance from the water bodies for the next few days to avoid inconveniences.
