Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka will continue to receive light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that along with rainfall, these districts are also set to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. The impact of the depression in the Bay of Bengal has also affected the weather in Karnataka and other southern states, the IMD informed. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Bidar, Vijayapura, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Mysore, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, and Mandya, are set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconvenience to the commuters.
The weather department also stated that the capital city, Bengaluru, is also likely to witness light rain for the next two to three days. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 32 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 20 degrees Celsius. However, the temperature is likely to drop by two to three degrees Celsius due to the continuous rainfall, the weather department stated.
Along with the rainfall, the residents of the tech city are also set to witness a gentle breeze and lightning. The IMD has advised the residents to stay updated and utilise the public transportation to avoid any inconveniences. The coastal districts are also set to witness strong surface winds, along with moderate rainfall.
The weather department has stated that along with Karnataka, several other southern states, including Telangana, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, are also set to receive light to moderate rainfall for the next few days.
