Kashmir Snowfall: A fresh wave of snowfall blanketed several higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley, leading to the closure of two major national highways, while heavy rains swept across the plains, as reported by the IMD on Sunday.
The meteorological department confirmed that, under the influence of a western disturbance, areas including Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Yousmarg, Gurez, Razdan Top, and the Sonamarg-Zojila axis received light to moderate snowfall overnight.
As a result of the snow, the Srinagar-Leh national highway and the Bandipora-Gurez road have been shut down for safety reasons.
