Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday replied to the BJP's claims that he would fight the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections from two seats, and refuted all such claims. In a press conference, the former Delhi CM said that he will contest the elections only from one seat.

"I will contest from one seat," said Kejriwal dismissing BJP's claim that he was going to fight polls from two seats-one from New Delhi and another "safe seat".

Kejriwal's remark came after BJP leader Parvesh Verma on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Kejriwal, calling him "nervous" because he knows that BJP will form the government in the national capital. "All the other parties of the INDI alliance are non-existent in Delhi. They have no vote bank. Arvind Kejriwal can see he is losing and that is why he is taking support from these parties. BJP is certainly forming government in Delhi and Kejriwal is nervous about that," Verma, who is the BJP candidate from the New Delhi assembly constituency, told ANI.

Verma's reaction was followed by Kejriwal's announcement on Wednesday about TMC extending its support to his party in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections on February 5.

Verma further said that the INDIA bloc doesn't exist since there has been an exchange of allegations among the alliance partners after the Maharashtra assembly election results were declared.

"INDIA alliance does not exist anymore. We saw in Maharashtra that when they lost, they levelled allegations against each other. The people remaining in the (INDIA) alliance are corrupt. They are people whom Arvind Kejriwal used to (verbally) abuse earlier. Delhi understands that he (Kejriwal) is trying to ally with those he was against," Verma said.

BJP has fielded Verma against Arvind Kejriwal and Congress' Sandeep Dikshit from the New Delhi seat. Notably, the Delhi Assembly Elections are set to take place on February 5 and the results will be announced on February 8. All the parties are preparing in full swing for the polls.

Earlier, in a post on X, Kejriwal thanked West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee earlier for extending her support to AAP.

"TMC has announced support to AAP in Delhi elections. I am personally grateful to Mamta Didi. Thank you, Didi. U have always supported and blessed us in our good and bad times," the AAP Chief said.

Reacting to Kejriwal's post, senior TMC leader Derek O' Brien said, "We have your back Aam Aadmi Party."

Arvind Kejriwal Writes To PM Modi, Asks To Include Jat Community Of Delhi In OBC List

Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday wrote a letter to PM Modi asking him to include the Jat community of Delhi in the Center's OBC list.

"I am writing this letter to remind you of a promise you made on an important issue 10 years ago. Over the past few days, I have met with several representatives of Delhi's Jat community, who have expressed concern over the exclusion of their community from the central OBC list," said Kejriwal.

The AAP convenor said that he was informed by the Jat community that PM Modi invited the representatives of Delhi’s Jat community to his residence on March 26, 2015, and promised them that the Jat Community will be included in central OBC list.
