Trains Delayed Today Delhi: Several long-distance trains reaching Delhi have been delayed due to dense fog in the NCR. Amritsar-Nanded Sachkhand Express is running late by over 23 hours. Besides, trains leaving the national capital have also been delayed due to low visibility. The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Duronto Express will be delayed by four and a half hours and the New Delhi-Darbhanga Humsafar Express will be delayed by two hours. 

Officials say that dense fog in several parts of the country and safety measures have affected train movement.

Over the last five days, most trains have been arriving at stations with delays ranging from one to five hours. In this regard, the in-charge inspector of the GRP, Anuj Malik, mentioned that additional forces have been deployed for passenger safety due to the delays, as per Jagran.com.

On Thursday, Delhi recorded a temperature of 6.4 Degrees Celsius at 5:30 AM. The national capital is also likely to witness light rain on January 12 and 13. The biting cold has prompted authorities to issue advisories for residents, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with health conditions.
