Kerala Horror: A horrific case emerged in Kerala after the Pathanamthitta district police initiated an inquiry into more than 60 individuals accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl over five years.
According to media reports, the girl is involved in sports and the men included the girl's trainers and fellow sportspersons, against whom the police in Kerala filed four FIRs on Friday. Six people were also arrested and 10 others were taken into custody.
Poice said, five people were arrested in relation to two FIRs filed by police, and one person was already in jail in relation to another case.
The minor alleges that she began experiencing abuse when she was 13 years old when her neighbour tried to forcefully show her pornographic videos.
The accused then mistreated the girl on a remote hill near their home, and his friends later raped her.
After the surviviour reported the crime to the Pathanamthitta Child Welfare Committee, which then notified the police, the rape case came to light.

Pathanamthitta District Police Chief VG Vinodkumar has assembled a special team to investigate the allegations.
Sections of POCSO were also invoked because the girl was a minor at the time of the alleged incidents.
At least 62 men have been identified as possible offenders in the preliminary investigations, and 40 men have been the subject of proceedings filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Five men—Subin, S Sandeep, VK Vineeth, K Anandu, and Srini—have been arrested by the police.
The police and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) collaborate to ensure the survivor receives the care and protection she needs.
The victim is now shifted to a shelter. Since there are several accused, officials from various stations will be looking into the matter even though it has been reported by the Elavumthitta Police Station, according to reports.
