A 36-year-old man, Anil Kumar, from Kerala’s Kasaragod, was allegedly stabbed during a verbal fight between two groups that escalated on Sunday night. The victim, a fish trader, reportedly walked to the hospital with the knife still lodged in his neck after the attack.
According to an NDTV report, police said Anil received a call from the accused over a financial dispute and was asked to come to Seethangoli village, where the accused allegedly thrashed him. One of the accused then stabbed Kumar in the neck, and a video of the incident later went viral on social media.
The victim was taken to a hospital in neighbouring Mangaluru with the knife still lodged in his neck. He is currently undergoing treatment for a severe stab injury. Police have detained four individuals and seized two vehicles in connection with the case.
In a separate incident, a 20-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by his friend over a Rs 33,000 loan dispute in Hyderabad’s Kachanbagh area. The accused, identified as Taher bin Abdullah Barrawar Ahmed from Hafizbabanagar, reportedly called his friend, Shai Saif, near Charminar on the pretext of repaying the money but stabbed him multiple times, The New Indian Express reported.
The attack, which occurred around 5:30 PM on October 4, left the victim with injuries to his neck and shoulder. He was rushed to Owaisi Hospital for treatment.

According to police, the two were friends, but their relationship had deteriorated after Taher failed to return the borrowed amount in 2024. Following repeated arguments, Taher allegedly attacked Saif.
