Various climatic reasons, such as the strengthening of monsoon winds in the Arabian Sea, increased moisture content, and air instability due to rising surface temperatures, are said to be responsible for the monsoon's beginning.
The meteorological department had previously predicted the monsoon's arrival by May 31 in the state. Now, when it comes to monsoons, Kerala turns into a lush paradise with rain-transforming landscapes, reviving rivers, waterfalls and forests.
