- The weather department also warned that thunderstorms with moderate rainfall and gusty winds are also likely in parts of Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki districts of the state.

The orange alert in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts of Kerala has been issued as a precautionary measure, advising residents and local authorities to stay vigilant and avoid non-essential activities. Authorities have advised residents to follow official weather updates, avoid outdoor activities or take precautions if venturing out in low-lying areas.
The weather department also noted that while rain may be localised, it could be intense, and people are urged to follow basic safety measures to minimise disruptions and ensure well-being.
