'Throw Her Off Same Fort If...': What Siya's Parents Said In Ketan Agrawal Murder Probe

Jagran News Network, New Delhi: In a fresh development in the Pune businessman Ketan Aggrawal murder case, the investigation revealed that Ketan's lover, Chetan Chaudhary, pushed Ketan from Lohgarh Fort after receiving a nod from his fiancee, Siya Goyal. Furthermore, Siya and Chetan had also done some research before carrying out the crime.

The investigation also revealed that the two had met at a cafe the day before Ketan's murder. CCTV footage from the Pune cafe shows Siya and Chetan Chaudhary meeting on June 17.

Both accused have confessed

The police are now investigating whether the one-hour meeting was linked to a conspiracy a day before when they met in the cafe. A police officer involved in the investigation said, during face-to-face interrogation, both tried to blame each other; however, Siya finally admitted that she had hatched the conspiracy and Chetan was also involved in the conspiracy.

The officer said Chetan initially claimed he was present at the fort but hadn't been to the spot where Ketan was pushed down and that he didn't know exactly what had happened. However, it was clear he was lying.

Eventually, both of them confessed to the crime and gave a complete account of the incident. According to PTI, as part of the conspiracy, Sia was given a signal while sitting, after which Chetan came and pushed Ketan.

Ketan who had no idea he was about to die. Before he could comprehend what was happening, he was pushed into a ditch. The police questioned the couple as to why they hadn't simply fled the house instead of murdering an innocent man.

According to NDTV citing police sources, the pair, who now face charges of murder and criminal conspiracy, had initially planned to elope and marry, but Siya later withdrew over concerns about her family's social reputation.

According to MidDay, Ketan's father, Vishal, said, "She took away the support of my old age. " If she wanted to end the marriage, she could have left. What was the need for murder? I won't rest until everyone responsible is punished."

Moreover, Ketan had expressed concern about Sia's behaviour, but we did not take Ketan's concerns seriously because we trusted that family.

Sia's father, who suffered a heart attack yesterday, said that whoever is responsible for this crime should be thrown down from the fort in the same way Ketan was pushed to death, even though she is his daughter.

Meanwhile, Pune Rural Police have found a key witness in the case. Neeraj Kumar, who worked at Chetan's shop, has recorded his statement. His statement could prove crucial in uncovering the conspiracy behind Ketan's death.

Police claim that on June 18, Chetan left his mobile phone with Neeraj and took Neeraj's phone to Lohagarh Fort. It has also been revealed that Siya and Chetan spoke regularly for approximately six months before Ketan's murder, during this period, they spoke on the phone a total of 2004 times and spent 238 hours on the phone.

The Maharashtra government is likely to form a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the Ketan Agarwal murder case after the initial accidental death was found to be a well-planned killing by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her lover, Chetan Choudhary.
