Khan Sir Institute Attack: Gyan Bindu Coaching Director Among 3 Arrested; Students Protest Outside Premises

Bihar: The Patna Police on Wednesday arrested three individuals, including a coaching institute director, in connection with the attack on Khan Sir's coaching institute in Bihar's Patna.

Speaking to Jagran.com, Town DSP Rajesh Ranjan said that Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, and his two associates, Abhishek and Gaurav, were arrested. The three accused were produced before the court today and subsequently sent to judicial custody.

Further Arrests Likely

According to officials, cited by ANI, the arrests were made based on evidence gathered during the probe and the interrogation of suspects linked to the case. Four named individuals and 10 to 15 unidentified individuals have been charged.

Authorities are currently investigating the broader conspiracy and underlying motives behind the incident, noting that further arrests are possible.

Students Gather Outside Khan Sir's Coaching Institute

A massive crowd of students gathered outside Khan Sir's coaching institute near Musallahpur Haat on Wednesday morning, after vandalism and stone-pelting erupted outside the premises.

Large numbers of students gathered outside the centre and staged a protest, raising slogans to demand accountability.

"We want justice. We want security. We want security," news agency ANI quoted a student as saying.

Stone Pelting, Vandalism Outside Khan Sir's Coaching Institute

Vandalism and stone-pelting erupted outside the coaching institute on Tuesday night. A security guard suffered a head injury in the incident and was rushed to the PMCH for medical treatment.

Upon receiving the information about the firing, senior police officials, including the Patna SSP and SP, along with multiple police teams, rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.

"This is a case involving physical assault. It has been reported that the guard sustained injuries; therefore, further action is being taken by recording his statement as well as the statements of the local people. The injured individual is currently undergoing treatment," police said.

While there were allegations of gunfire at the Centre, Patna police found no evidence of any firing at the scene.
