Kolkata Horror: Bike Rider Enters Thai Woman's Flat, Molests Her While She Was Changing

In a shocking incident, an app-based bike rider was arrested for allegedly molesting a Thai woman in Salt Lake, Kolkata. The incident took place on December 15 around 11 PM, and the accused, identified as Somnath Mohanti, was taken into custody by Bidhannagar Police after the woman filed a complaint.

According to police reports, the woman, a resident of Thailand, had booked the bike ride from Kolkata's Picnic Green area to her home. Upon reaching her destination, she realized that she did not have the exact change to pay the rider. She requested that the rider wait while she went inside her flat to retrieve the money, as cited in Times Now.

The rider reportedly waited for 15 minutes but then went upstairs to her flat. He allegedly forced his way into the woman’s home and molested her while she was in the process of changing her clothes.

Distressed by the incident, the woman, along with a friend, immediately went to the Bidhannagar South Police Station and filed a written complaint. Acting promptly on her statement, the police arrested the accused.
