Kolkata Kali Puja Special Metro Train:  Kolkata Metro will run eight special trains in each direction on the Dakshineswar-New Garia line (Blue Line) between 9:40 and 11 PM on Thursday, October 31, in order to make it easier for devotees to visit the renowned Dakshineswar and Kalighat temples on Kali Puja night, according to officials.

According to a statement from Kolkata Metro, the eight trains—four on each of the two routes—will run at 20-minute intervals.

The Kalighat temple is located in the southern portion of the city, while the ancient Dakshineswar temple is situated in the northern suburbs. On October 31 (Thursday), Metro will run 198 trains (99 UP & 99 DN) during the day instead of the Blue Line's 292 services.

Instead of 106 daily trains, Metro will operate 90 (45 eastbound and 45 westbound) services on the Green Line-1 (Sealdah-Sector V). On that day, there will be no changes to the Orange Line (New Garia-Ruby), Purple Line (Joka-Majerhat), or Green Line-2 (Howrah Maidan-Esplanade).
