Delhi Metro Timing For October 31: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday announced updated schedules for its October 31 services due to Diwali. The last Delhi Metro train service on October 31 will depart from terminal stations of all lines, including the Airport Express line, at 10:00 PM, according to DMRC. On normal days, the services are often available until 11:00 PM.

“On account of the Diwali festival, the last Metro train service on 31st October 2024 (Thursday) will start at 10:00 PM from terminal stations of all Lines including Airport Express Line,” the DMRC wrote on X.

“Metro train services will run as usual for the rest of the day on Diwali from routine commencement timings on all the Lines,” it added.

To improve commuter convenience and reduce traffic in anticipation of the festive season, the Delhi Metro will launch an extra 60 trips on Tuesday and Wednesday, the DMRC said earlier this week.

In order to reduce traffic and pollution, the DMRC has also encouraged individuals to travel by public transportation.

"Delhi Metro is adding 60 extra trips on Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure smoother and more convenient travel for all commuters," the DMRC wrote in a post on X.

"Whether you're heading to festive markets, visiting friends and family, or simply exploring the city, avoid traffic and pollution by choosing the metro. Let's make this festive season hassle-free and sustainable with every ride," it added.

As consumers flocked to Delhi's marketplaces to celebrate Dhanteras on Tuesday night, traffic congestion were reported from all across the city.

Numerous locations, including the Badarpur flyover, CV Raman Marg, Punjabi Bagh, Badarpur Mehrauli Road, Taimur Nagar-Maharani Bagh Road, Ashram, and Yamuna Vihar, reported heavy traffic.
