Kolkata Metro Update: In a bid to manage the anticipated rush on New Year’s Eve, Kolkata Metro Railway will run eight additional services on the Blue Line on Wednesday, December 31. Four additional Up and four Down services will be operated between Dakshineswar and Shahid Khudiram on December 31, with one additional service running from Dum Dum to Shahid Khudiram.

With these additional services, the Kolkata Metro Railway aims to ensure a safer and more convenient travel for commuters across the city. Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journey in advance and cooperate with metro personnel to avoid inconvenience during the New Year rush.

Kolkata Metro To Run Additional Trains On Blue Line: Check Timings

- Kolkata Metro Railway will operate eight special services, four "Up" and four "Down", between Dakshineswar and Shahid Khudiram on Wednesday, December 31.

- According to a report by news agency PTI, trains from Dakshineswar heading toward Shahid Khudiram are scheduled to depart at 9:40 PM, 9:52 PM, 10:05 PM, and 10:18 PM.

- In the opposite direction, trains from Shahid Khudiram toward Dakshineswar will depart at 9:54 PM, 10:04 PM, and 10:17 PM.

- A inal special service will depart for Dum Dum from Shahid Khudiram at 10:30 PM.

While the Kolkata Metro Railway has announced additional services on the Blue Line on December 31, the first morning service will remain unchanged.

Additionally, regular metro service on Green Line (Howrah Maidan-Salt Lake Sector V), Yellow Line (Noapara-Jai Hind Bimanbandar), Purple Line (Majherhat-Joka), and Orange Line (Kavi Subhash-Beleghata) will continue to operate as scheduled on New Year's Eve.
