Kolkata Traffic Advisory: The Kolkata traffic police has announced traffic restrictions on key routes in the city on July 30 and 31 in view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to West Bengal.

President Murmu will be in the state to attend the first convocation of AIIMS-Kalyani. The advisory has been issued to aid traffic movement, avoid inconvenience for the commuters and ensure public safety.

Kolkata Traffic Advisory For July 30

Timings: 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Traffic will be impacted on the following routes:

Sinthee crossing – B T Road – Tala Bridge – Bidhan Sarani – Shyambazar 5-point crossing – Bhupen Bose Avenue – M J Avenue – C R Avenue – B B Ganguly Street – Lalbazar Street – BBD Bag (East) – Old Court House Street – Govt. Place (East) – R R Avenue.

Kolkata Traffic Advisory For July 31

Timings: 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Traffic will be impacted on the following routes:

R R Avenue – Red Road – J N Island – Khidderpore Road – Casurina Avenue – Hospital Road – AJC Bose Flyover – Maa Flyover – E M Bypass – HUDCO Crossing – Durgapur Bridge.

Kolkata Traffic Advisory: Other Restrictions

Vehicles carrying goods shall not be allowed on July 30 and 31 during the above-mentioned timings.

All vehicles, including trams shall be diverted, stopped or slowed down in these areas.

All kinds of movement will be halted around Raj Bhawan from 6:00 am on July 30 to 12:00 pm on July 31.
