Kota (Rajasthan): A 17-year-old NEET aspirant was found dead on a railway track near Dakania Railway Station in Kota on the night between Wednesday and Thursday. Police suspect he died by suicide, possibly due to a love affair.

According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), Rajput’s girlfriend, who studies at IIT, had called his friends on Wednesday night, warning them that he might take an extreme step. His friends rushed to his room but found he had already left.
DSP Shankar Lal from the GRP stated that the investigation is ongoing, particularly regarding the potential love angle in the case. GRP officer Ishwar Singh noted that Rajput had returned to his paying guest accommodation from home just the day before. His family reported that he appeared to be in good spirits and did not seem troubled. They have since dismissed the need for a post-mortem, describing the incident as an accident, leading to the police handing over the body.
