Kullu-Manali Weather Update: Several districts of Himachal Pradesh are witnessing snowfall. Cold wave has gripped the state with Kullu and Manali, two popular tourist spots of the state witnessing spell of heavy snowfall. Shimla on Monday too was engulfed in thick blanket of snow.
Kullu Weather Forecast: The temperature in Kullu was recorded at 6 degree Celsius on Tuesday. According to the IMD predictions, the minimum temperature in Kullu is likely to settle in between 0-1 degree Celsius till December 28.
On December 29, the minimum temperature in Kullu is likely to settle at minus 1 degree Celsius. At the same time the maximum temperature till December 29 will stay between 12 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius till December 29. Kullu is also likely to witness rain or snowfall on most of the days till December 29.
Manali Weather Forecast: The IMD has predicted rain or snow for today, December 24, in Manali, while on December 25 and December 26, the weather will remain partly cloudy with the minimum temperature settling between 1-2 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature is likely to settle between 0-2 degrees from December 26 to December 29, while the maximum temperature will remain between 11-12 degree Celsius till December 29, according to IMD predictions. The sky will remain partly cloudy from December 24-26, while IMD has predicted rain for December 27-29.
Tourist Vehicles' Stuck Amid Snowfall in Kullu, Manali
According to officials, around 1,000 vehicles were stuck in a long traffic jam, prompting police to launch a rescue operation and shift around 700 tourists to safe places. Visuals from the area showed police personnel assisting travellers and drivers in navigating their vehicles as snowfall continued.
The tourists who are currently in the state for Christmas celebrations are reportedly extending their stay making this a season of cheer and celebration for all.
