Kumb Mela Special Train: In preparation for the Kumbh Mela 2025, the Central Railway has announced the operation of 34 special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai, Pune and various destinations including Mau and Danapur. The festival will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj and the additional trains aim to accommodate the expected surge in passenger traffic.

Kumbh Mela Special Train Services

1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Mau Specials (14 trips)

The Kumbh Mela special train, numbered 01033, will depart from CSMT at 11:30 AM on the following dates: January 9, 17, 22, 25, February 5, 22 and February 26, 2025. It is set to arrive in Mau at 10:00 PM the next day.

Similarly, train number 01034 will leave Mau at 11:50 PM on January 10, 18, 23, 26, February 6, 23, and February 27, arriving at CSMT at 2:30 PM the next day.

Halts: These trains will make stops at several key stations, including Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Nashik Road, Talvadiya, Chhanera, Khirkiya, Banapura, Itarsi, Pipariya, Harda, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Maihar, Mirzapur, Chunar, Varanasi, Shahganj and Azamgarh.

2. Pune - Mau Specials (12 trips)

Train number 01455 will leave Pune at 10:10 AM on January 8, 16, 24, February 6, 8 and 21, arriving in Mau at 10:00 PM the next day. Train number 01456 will depart Mau at 11:50 PM on January 9, 17, 25, February 7, 9 and 22, reaching Pune at 4:45 PM the following day.

Halts: Similar stoppages will be observed, including Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Talvadiya Chhanera, Jalgaon, Khirkiya, Harda, Banapura, Itarsi, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Pipariya, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chunar, Varanasi, Shahganj, Mirzapur and Azanahgarh.

3. Nagpur - Danapur Specials (8 trips)

Train number 01217 will leave Nagpur at 10:10 AM on January 26, February 5, 9, and 23, arriving in Danapur at 11:00 AM the next day. Conversely, train number 01218 will depart Danapur at 4:00 PM on January 27, February 6, 10 and 24, reaching Nagpur at 7:30 PM the following day.

Halts: Key stops will include Narkher, Amla, Betul, Itarsi, Pipriya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Chunar, Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Buxar and Ara.

Reservation Details

Reservations for special trains numbered 01033, 01455, and 01217 will open on December 20, 2024, at all PRS centres and on the IRCTC website. General Second Class coaches will operate as unreserved coaches and tickets can also be booked through the UTS app.
