Lok Sabha Election 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahar on January 25, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has informed. During his visit, PM Modi is expected to address a public meeting. According to CM Yogi, he is also slated to inaugurate and dedicate projects worth thousands of crores for Bulandshahr and Meerut divisions.
The significance of PM Modi's Bulandshahr visit just months ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election is apparent by the fact that in the 2019 general elections the BJP registered victories in just 7 out of the 14 parliamentary constituencies that it had won in 2014 in western UP.
Bulandshahr is also the same region from where the now-Prime Minister had commenced campaigning for his party for the 2014 Lok Sabha election. The projects to be inaugurated by PM Modi in Bulandshahr include Medical College named after the now-deceased former UP CM Kalyan Singh, inauguration of a section of Dedicated Freight Corridor, and the four-lane highway between Aligarh and Kannauj, CM Yogi informed.
The Prime Minister will also interact with workers here, news agency ANI said in its report. PM Modi's upcoming Bulandshahr visit will be his second tour of UP after attending the Ayodhya Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha', which is scheduled to be held on Monday (January 22).
