This can be gauged from the fact that the effect of this heavy rain has reached the UP Legislative Assembly located in the state's capital. The ground floor of the Lucknow Legislative Assembly is completely filled with rain water.

IMD Predicts Downpour For Next Seven Days

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast regarding rainfall for the next 7 days. The department has also warned about lightning and heavy rains. The citizens of Lucknow were alerted and appealed not to leave the house unnecessarily. The Meteorological Department has also advised to avoid coming in contact with unsafe buildings, trees.

The UP Legislative Assembly session is currently going on in the state. On Tuesday, the state government presented the first supplementary budget of the financial year 2024-25 in the House.
