Lucknow: Cyber Crime Police recently raided Lucknow’s Talkatora area and nabbed a fraudster who used to issue smart and ID cards of police, railways and other departments with fake documents through a computer. After interrogation, police brought the man to Fatehpur and initiated action against him by registering a case, jagran.com reported.

Constables Praveen Singh and Ajay Kumar, under the leadership of Cyber Crime Cell Inspector Sunil Kumar Singh, arrested Pratap Pal, a resident of Kanausi Mohalla of Manak Nagar police station in Lucknow, from his Pratap Enterprises shop located on Talkatora Road.

The arrested shopkeeper Pratap Pal told the police during interrogation that he had made a computer operator card in the police department for Vikas Singh, resident of Shivpuri Colony, Rajajipuram, Lucknow, who was jailed for cheating recently. Similarly, he used to issue IDs of many other departments without departmental permission.

Inspector Sunil Kumar Singh said that 159 fake smart cards and Aadhaar cards of police, railways and other departments along with a computer, a CPU, receipt book have been recovered from Pratap Pal. Action is being taken to send him to jail by registering a case of fraud under 66 C IT Act.

One can visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/veryAadhaar to verify the authenticity of any Aadhaar card. Just fill in the Aadhaar number there and you will have details on your screen.
