Yeti Narasimhanand, a religious preacher who has been in the news recently for his hate speeches at public gatherings, announced plans to organise a Dharma Sansad during the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Paryagraj. This came after authorities denied permission to hold the event in Haridwar. The announcement was welcomed by Shrimahant Ravindra Puri, President of All India, Akhara Parishad Niranjani, who also pledged support for the event.

Yeti Narasimhanand, Peethadheeshwar of Shiv Shakti Dham Dasna, Ghaziabad and Mahamandaleshwar of Shri Panchdashnam Juna Akhara, accused the Haridwar police and district administration of obstructing the Dharma Sansad scheduled from December 19 to 21 at Juna Akhara.

In a letter to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, he alleged that officials threatened him and denied permission to attend the event. He demanded strict action against officials who prevented the event, accusing the administration of suppressing religious activities in Haridwar.

Narasimhanand also announced plans for a foot march from Juna Akhara to the Supreme Court to protest the denial which he later cancelled. Clarifying the cancellation, he stated that the Supreme Court was not responsible for the denial of permission for the Dharma Sansad. He emphasised that the protest march was unwarranted since the obstruction came from the police administration, not the judiciary.
