Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation to state governor Bandaru Dattatreya. This came after seat sharing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls created a rift between the BJP and JJP.
Haryana BJP leader Kanwar Pal Gujjar said the entire cabinet had resigned and all the resignations were accepted by the governor. Gujjar also claimed Khattar will continue to remain the Chief Minister of Haryana. “CM and cabinet ministers have resigned and the Governor has accepted the resignations,” he said.

The BJP high command had sent Union Minister Arjun Munda and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh to Haryana to inspect political developments.
Earlier, Haryana Lokhit Party chief Gopal Kanda on Tuesday claimed the alliance was ‘almost broken’ and BJP will contest all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state. He also claimed the BJP government in the state will be able to survive owing to the support of independent MLAs.
“I think the alliance (BJP-JJP) has almost broken. In Lok Sabha elections, BJP will win all 10 seats. Even without JJP, the Haryana govt will stay, and all independent candidates will continue to support BJP," he said while talking to ANI.
