In a milestone event for India’s communication and development sector, the Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC) at MICA Ahmedabad, in partnership with Routledge UK, successfully launched the book Strategic Communication for Impactful Partnership at DIDAC INDIA 2025—the nation’s premier exhibition and conference for educational resources and skill development, held at the Yashobhoomi India International Convention Expo Centre, Dwarka.

Authored collectively by three of the field’s most eminent professionals—Prof. Manisha Pathak Shelat (Chair, CDMC, MICA), Prof. Ruchi Tewari (CMO, MICA), and Ms. Sushama Oza (noted development sector strategist)—the volume was released in the distinguished presence of Dr. Rajni Kant, renowned public health expert and ICMR-National Chair for Disease Elimination, who served as chief guest.

Dr. Rajni Kant remarked at the launch, “In my experience leading research initiatives and policy translation in public health, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of strategic communication. This book captures the essence of uniting diverse stakeholders around a common purpose. From disease elimination to nationwide campaigns, these principles have proven invaluable. It is a must-read for public health professionals, policymakers, and development leaders.”

This book is born from that same spirit of co-creation, alongside my co-authors and long-standing MICA partners. It’s more than a guide—it’s a roadmap for anyone aiming to build relationships that last and create impact that matters.”

Prof. Ruchi Tewari emphasized, “Strategic communication has never been more essential. Whether addressing social challenges or scaling development initiatives, organizations need frameworks grounded in both research and real-world practice. This book delivers it right.” Ms. Sushama Oza, reflecting four decades in development, added, “I’ve learned that communication transforms good intentions into tangible impact. This publication captures those lessons and makes them accessible to a new generation of practitioners and leaders.”
