Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella visited Mussoorie on Monday during a private trip to India and returned to the school where he completed his early education more than five decades ago. Nadella, who studied at the Convent of Jesus and Mary (CJM) Waverley School in 1970-71, toured the campus with his family to revisit memories from his childhood.

Nadella spent around thirty minutes at the school, walking through familiar spaces and sharing recollections from his student days with his wife, Anupam Nadella and daughters, Divya and Tara. The visit was kept confidential and the school was informed only after his team contacted the management ahead of his arrival in Mussoorie.

School Staff Describe CEO As Humble And Warm

School officials said the interaction remained low-key, as the visit was personal. Teachers who met Nadella described him as humble and soft-spoken. The family also posed for photographs with staff members during their time on campus.

Pride For The Institution

The school expressed pride in welcoming one of its most distinguished former students. Administrators said it was an honour that the head of a global technology company once studied at their institution.MICROSOFT CEO (1)

Nadella’s Family Connection To Mussoorie

Nadella’s connection to Mussoorie extends beyond his schooling. His father, B.N. Yugandhar, a 1962-batch IAS officer, served as the director of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie from 1988 to 1993.

Principal Sister Shayma, School Manager Sister Suji, Coordinator Jali Jan, and Social Media In-charge Ritesh Bhattacharya were among the staff present during the visit.
