A Gurugram Session Court on Thursday granted bail to Monu Manesar, who was also the prime accused of inciting communal violence in Haryana’s Nuh district. The cow vigilante got relief from the session court on the attempted murder case of Mohin, who was shot during a fight on February 6, 2023.

The police opposed the bail, saying that Monu Manesar may abscond and influence the witnesses. The police also said that 10-12 accused are still at large in this case.

Advocate Shyambir Yadav appearing on behalf of the Manesar argued that the police’s protest was baseless and his client was innocent. The Additional District and Session Court Judge Jasvir Singh granted bail to Manu Manesar after his advocate argued that the police's protest to bail petition was baseless.

Monu Manesar was arrested by Nuh police on July 31, 2023, for inciting communal violence in Nuh. He was later taken by Rajasthan Police on a warrant for the murder of Nasir and Junaid of Rajasthan. He was lodged at Ajmer jail in Rajasthan.
