Mother's Day 2026: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Launches Rs 3.5 Crore Aftercare Scheme For Youth

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the Village Cottage Home, today at Lajpat Nagar on the occasion of Mother’s Day. She announced the 'Aftercare Scheme for Young Persons'.

Backed by a Rs 3.5 crore budget for 2026–27, the initiative aims to support youth transitioning out of childcare institutions after the age of 18 through rehabilitation assistance, higher education support, skill development, career mentoring, internships, and financial aid.

The scheme reflects the Delhi Government’s commitment to ensuring that every young person receives the guidance, care, and opportunities needed to build a secure, dignified, and independent future.
