Madhya Pradesh Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Neha Pachisia is facing multiple inquiries after allegations of extortion during a vehicle checking operation and alleged negligence in handling a murder case.
Pachisia, currently posted as City Superintendent of Police (CSP) in Katni, came under scrutiny after a complaint was filed by transport businessman Mahendra Jain. The complaint relates to an alleged incident during a vehicle checking drive conducted on the night of July 21.
According to Jain’s complaint, his truck was stopped during checking, following which DSP Pachisia allegedly demanded Rs 30,000. He claimed that Rs 25,000 was collected in cash at the spot, while the remaining Rs 5,000 was to be paid through the truck driver the next day.
Jain further alleged that he was warned that his vehicle would be seized and taken to the police station if he failed to make the payment. The businessman, who owns five vehicles involved in sand and dolomite transportation, submitted evidence along with his complaint and demanded a fair investigation.
Police Initiate Action After Complaint
After receiving the complaint, Katni Superintendent of Police Abhinay Vishwakarma ordered a preliminary inquiry into the allegations.
DSP Pachisia’s driver, constable Keshav Singh, was suspended with immediate effect. The investigation into the extortion allegations has been handed over to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kamal Maurya.
The SP has also made administrative changes by removing three police stations from Pachisia’s jurisdiction and assigning their supervision to another DSP.
The inquiry officer will submit a report to the SP after examining the allegations and available evidence. Further disciplinary action will be taken if the charges are found to be true.
Murder Case Handling Also Under Investigation
Apart from the extortion complaint, Pachisia is facing a separate departmental inquiry over alleged lapses in a murder case investigation.

In that case, the accused reportedly received default bail after police allegedly failed to file the charge sheet within the mandatory 90-day period.
The accused has also approached the court with another allegation, claiming that Pachisia pressured him to sell his land at a significantly lower price in exchange for favours in the criminal case.

Neha Pachisia, who joined the police force after leaving her career as an air hostess, has frequently remained in the public eye due to her style of functioning and significant social media presence.
The ongoing inquiries will determine the next course of action against the officer.
