'Gandhi Sagar Forest Retreat: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav escaped a mishap after his hot air balloon's lower part reportedly caught fire at Gandhisagar Forest Retreat in Mandsaur. The videos emerged on social media on Saturday show the chief minister's security personnel protecting the chief minister as he entered a unstable hot air balloon to have a joyride.
The incident took place on Saturday morning. As soon as Yadav boarded the hot balloon, high-speed wind hindered it from flying. The balloon could not fly, and its lower portion reportedly caught fire.

The security personnel present there took CM Chief Minister Mohan Yadav out and extinguished the fire. There was no report of any injury in this incident.
Govt's Push To Promote Gandhisagar Forest Retreat As Tourist Site
Later, the chief minister said, "Many facilities have been started to attract tourists to this place, like air balloon. I have been in this tourist village of Gandhi Sagar since last night. A beautiful place has been developed through Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation. In Madhya Pradesh, tourist centres like Gandhi Sagar are very rare, where there is natural beauty as well as forest wealth. Gandhi Sagar Dam is the best place where there is a wonderful natural habitat for all vultures."
Earlier, the CM stayed for the night at Hinglaj Resort near Gandhisagar Forest Retreat in Mandsaur district.
Fourth Edition Of 'Gandhi Sagar Forest Retreat' Begins
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department organised the fourth edition of 'Gandhi Sagar Forest Retreat' and the second edition of 'Kuno Forest Retreat' to provide an opportunity to tourists to enjoy nature's beauty, exciting activities and cultural programmes. The festival began on Friday. On the first day, the chief minister joined the fest.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Tourism and Culture Department Shiv Shekhar Shukla said these events are being organised in collaboration with 'Lalluji and Sons and Evoke Camping'.
Forest retreats like Gandhi Sagar and Kuno are not just tourism events but it is an effort to combine the natural heritage, cultural richness and environmental protection of our state, he said.
