MP Crime News: In a violent turn into one-sided love, a woman was murdered in the middle of the road in broad daylight in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district on Tuesday. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Ritu Bhandarkar, was murdered by Roshan Dharve. Dharve slit her throat with a knife while she was waiting for a bus to go to work.

A chilling video of the incident has emerged, showing the accused stabbing the girl while bystanders recorded video without intervening. In the video, the accused can be heard shouting, “She was with me for five years. We were together life and death. Now she's betraying me. She and her brothers sent boys to kill me.” When a woman asks the murderer why he was killing her, the accused answered with, “Her life will be saved. Call the police and take her away.”

Accused Wipes His Blood-Soaked Hands With Victim's Scarf

The accused continued stabbing the victim while she collapsed bleeding profusely, and later wiped his blood-soaked hand with the victim's scarf.

Bhandarkar worked at a furniture shop in town and took the bus every day from her village. She was waiting at the Amgaon Fata bus stop when the man rode up on a borrowed bike. People nearby said the two talked for a few minutes, then started shouting. Suddenly, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed her several times. She fell bleeding on the road.

Villagers rushed in and beat him badly after they caught him. He was hurt and half-conscious when the police reached the spot. The accused is now in the hospital under police guard.

Family Demands Rs 1 Cr Compensation, Govt Job

Hundreds of angry villagers, along with the victim’s family, gathered outside Baihar police station as the murder news spread. They demanded quick justice and called for Rs 1 crore compensation, a government job for one family member, demolition of the accused’s house, and the death penalty for the attacker.
