Mukhtar Ansari News Updates: A day after his death, a post-mortem report confirmed cardiac arrest as the official cause of death of gangster Mukhtar Ansari. This comes as the family of the deceased gangster-turned-politician alleged poisoning of his prison food. Following the allegation, a magistrate court in Uttar Pradesh constituted a judicial enquiry committee to probe the allegations.
Meanwhile, police and administration teams were on their way to deliver Mukhtar's body to the kin in Ghazipur. The convoy was on the move and had reached Bhadohi district at the time of filing of this story. Reports have suggested that the last rites of Mukhtar Ansari will be performed tomorrow.

1. Shops remained closed on Friday in Mohammadabad Yusufpur town in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, the birthplace of Mukhtar Ansari, a former gangster who turned to politics and died of a heart attack a day earlier. A large number of security personnel have been deployed in the area to ensure law and order.
2. Following the postmortem of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari's body, the primary report confirms death due to cardiac arrest. Doctors from the postmortem house, including a PG from Lucknow, three from Banda District Hospital, and one from a medical college, comprised the five-member team.
3. The jailed son of deceased gangster Mukhtar Ansari, Abbas Ansari, earlier moved the Supreme Court to get parole to attend his father's last rites. However, he wasn't granted an urgent hearing.
4. In one of his final conversations with his family, Mukhtar Ansari had said that he was 'too weak to even control his body'. In an audio clip from the previous week, purportedly between Ansari and his son Umar, the former MLA conveyed his health struggles. He had also said that he was facing difficulty in observing 'rozas' and prayers.
5. The Uttar Pradesh government have imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC across the state to maintain the law and order situation. Teams of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) along with the local police have been deployed in Banda, Mau, Ghazipur and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar said.
