Mumbai Hospitals Bomb Threat: More than 50 hospitals in Mumbai have received bomb threats via emails, Mumbai Police said on Tuesday. According to the police, the hospitals that have received the threat emails include the Jaslok Hospital, the Raheja Hospital, the Seven Hill Hospital, the Kohinoor Hospital, the KEM Hospital, the JJ Hospital, and the St George Hospital among many others.

"The threat emails have been sent using a VPN Network. The identity of the sender and the motive of the threat are yet to be ascertained," the police said. Earlier in the day, the airport in Maharashtra's Nagpur also received a bomb threat email, which eventually turned out to be a hoax. According to officials cited by news agency PTI, security at the airport was stepped up following the receipt of the email.

41 Airports Across India Received Threats

The Nagpur airport was just one among the 41 airports across the nation that received bomb threats throughout Tuesday, as per a tally compiled by Jagran Central Desk. All the threats have turned out to be hoaxes so far. Security was also beefed up at the airports in Gujarat's Vadodara and Bihar's Patna in the wake of threat emails during the day.

Officials cited by Jagran Central Desk said that an online group called KNR is suspected to be behind the hoax emails. They claimed that it is the same group that had sent out hoax threats to several schools in Delhi-NCR on May 1 this year.
