A fire broke out in a house in Bhagat Singh Nagar, located in Goregaon West, Mumbai, at around 3:00 am on Saturday, January 10. Three people lost their lives in this tragic incident.
Upon receiving information about the fire, the police reached the spot immediately. Firefighters also managed to bring the fire under control. However, the three people sleeping inside the house—two males and one female—died due to suffocation.
Three Deaths Due To Suffocation
The fire broke out in the house in Bhagat Singh Nagar early Saturday morning. Police and Fire Department vehicles arrived at the scene as soon as they received the alert, but they were unable to save the three individuals sleeping inside. Mumbai Police stated that three people, including a woman, died of suffocation in the incident.
Mumbai Fire Brigade received information about the fire at 3:06 am. The department reported that the fire originated in the electrical wiring on the ground and first floors. The flames subsequently spread to other household goods.

The department further informed that before the firefighters arrived, local residents had extinguished the fire by pouring water from buckets. Upon reaching the scene, the fire brigade personnel first disconnected the electricity supply.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade stated that the three individuals found in the house were rushed to the Trauma Care Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. An official identified the deceased as 19-year-old Harshada Pavaskar, 12-year-old Kushal Pavaskar and 48-year-old Sanjog Pavaskar.
