Mumbai Local Train News: Due to the speed restrictions imposed between Goregaon and Kandivali, about 150-175 suburban trains will be cancelled between Monday, September 30 and Friday, October 4. The speed restriction is being imposed in connection with the construction work of the 5th and 6th lines between Ram Mandir and Kandivali railway stations. Passengers are likely to face delays in this regard.
In a post on X, Western Railway wrote, "A speed restriction of 30 km/h is being imposed on all four lines (Up and Down Local, Up and Down Through) between the Ram Mandir - Goregaon - Malad section in connection with the construction of the 5th and 6th lines. This restriction will be effective from 30th September 2024." The post further read, "It will be relaxed in a phased manner, and by 4th October 2024, suburban services will return to normal, except during block periods."

"Due to this, about 150-175 suburban trains will be cancelled. A total of 1,394 services are operated by WR over the Mumbai Suburban Section. Due to the unavailability of the Goregaon Loop Line, all four fast Goregaon morning services will remain cancelled. Inconvenience caused to passengers is deeply regretted,” the post further mentioned.

Moreover, in a press release posted by the Western Railway on X, it was informed that all Western Railway blocks at Goregaon and Malad stations will take place during the intervening night of 30th September/1st October 2024. It mentioned, "According to a press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period on all lines, trains will operate only between Churchgate to Andheri and Virar to Borivali."
