Mumbai Metro Online Ticket Booking: Maha Mumbai Metro Operations Corporation Ltd. (MMMOCL) has taken a significant step for commuters travelling in the metro. They don't need to wait in long lines to book tickets now. Instead, they can book their Mumbai metro tickets online with the launch of WhatsApp-based ticketing.

Mumbai Metro's initiative will enable commuters to buy metro tickets directly through WhatsApp, providing an alternative to the mobile app and ensuring a smooth, user-friendly experience.

Mumbai Metro Online Ticket Booking App: How To Book Ticket On WhatsApp?

In order to book Mumbai metro ticket online (Mumbai metro online app) on WhatsApp, commuters will need to send a Hi to WhatsApp number 86526 35500. They can either send a 'Hi' on WhatsApp or scan the provided QR code for buying Mumbai metro tickets online through a conversational interface. The initiative will include stations and lines managed by MMMOCL, enhancing digital convenience for Mumbai's busy metro network.

Mumbai Metro Online App: Speaking about the WhatsApp online ticket booking for Mumbai Metro, Rubal Agarwal, Managing Director of MMMOCL said that the decision was taken to provide commuters with an accessible, seamless, and familiar platform for booking metro tickets.

"WhatsApp, being widely used across India, offered the perfect platform. With WhatsApp, we’re offering a simple and intuitive way for passengers to interact with our metro services. We believe this will transform the travel experience for millions of Mumbaikars," he said.

Mumbai Metro Ticket App For Android: The WhatsApp-based ticketing system, supported by PeLocal, aims to boost digital ticket adoption, simplify commuter experiences, and offer an environmentally friendly alternative to paper tickets.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) metropolitan commissioner Sanjay Mukherjee said the Whatsapp ticketing (Mumbai metro online app) feature will help reduce queues at counters and provide a more seamless travel experience.

Mukherjee, who is also chairman of MMMOCL, said, "Currently, approximately 62 percent of our daily commuters use paper QR tickets, 3 percent use mobile QR tickets, and 35 percent use the NCMC card."
